Trademark Enforcement

No trademark is ever fully protected. There will always be a third-party trying to take advantage of a registered trademark, either by using it with intention or without.

We, at Ratza & ratza, are trying to prevent such things from happening and want to make sure that your exclusive right to a trademark is safe.

Watch Services

Each registered trademark under our administration will be automatically introduced in our watch system, which, basically, works as follows:

• Each end of the month, your trademark is compared with the trademarks published in the Romanian Official IP Bulletin, the WIPO Gazette and the CTM Bulletin. You will receive a notification if pertinent results occur.
• Each end of the month, we search for domain names identical or similar to your trademark. You will receive a notification if pertinent results occur.

Customs Surveillance

We strongly recommend recording all registered trademarks with the Customs Authorities in order for them to act and track down any counterfeit goods entering or exiting Romania. This is a very efficient and cost effective system and it is supported entirely by our firm.
